With OneCal's Calendar Sync feature, you can make your synced events stand out by giving them a custom color. This means you can choose a special color for the clone events that OneCal creates when it copies an event from one calendar to another.

Let's say the original events in your calendar are in blue, but you want your clone events to be in green. By selecting this custom color option, every clone event created on another calendar is shown in the color you've chosen, like green. This makes it super easy to tell which events are the original events and which ones are the clone events, helping you stay organized and on top of your schedule.

Event colors on Outlook calendars

Outlook displays event colors through categories. For Outlook to display the OneCal event colors correctly, the following categories must exist in your Outlook account, with these exact names:

  • Blue category
  • Gray category
  • Green category
  • Orange category
  • Purple category
  • Red category
  • Yellow category

The names are case-sensitive and must match exactly. Other categories are not supported.

To find your Outlook categories, log in on Outlook web, click the cog icon next to your profile picture, then open Categories. Depending on your Outlook version, it appears under Account or General.
