How to edit a calendar sync's privacy settings in OneCal

This guide will walk you through the process of editing a calendar sync's privacy settings in OneCal.

The privacy settings control how much detail is copied from your original events into the clone events on your target calendars.

Prerequisites

Before starting make sure you have the following:

  • A OneCal account with either an active Free Trial or any paid plan.
  • You are already logged in to your OneCal account.
  • An existing calendar sync in OneCal.

Step-by-step guide

1. Navigate to https://app.onecal.io/

The Calendar Sync page in OneCal listing your calendar syncs

2. On the Calendar Sync page, click the three dots menu at the end of the calendar sync's row. You may need to scroll horizontally for this button to be visible.

3. Click Edit in the menu.

4. For full privacy, leave every checkbox under Choose what to sync unchecked, so clone events show as busy blocks with no details. To share event details instead, check the boxes for the fields you want copied into the clone events.

5. Click Save. OneCal re-runs the calendar sync and updates the existing clone events to match the new privacy settings.
