How to disable reminders for clone events in OneCal

This guide will walk you through the process of disabling reminders for clone events in OneCal.

By default, the clone events a calendar sync creates carry their own reminders, so you can be notified twice for the same meeting: once from the original event and once from its clone event. Turning reminders off for clone events leaves only the original event's reminder.

Prerequisites

Before starting make sure you have the following:

• A OneCal account with either an active Free Trial or any paid plan.
• You are already logged in to your OneCal account.
• An existing calendar sync in OneCal.

Step-by-step guide

1. Navigate to https://app.onecal.io/

2. On the Calendar Sync page, find your calendar sync and click the three dots menu at the end of its row.

3. Click Edit in the menu.

4. Turn on the Disable reminder for clones toggle in the sync configuration.

5. Click Save.

6. Wait for OneCal to re-run the calendar sync. Once it finishes, you no longer receive reminders for clone events created by this calendar sync.
